An aerospace client is looking for a TIG Welder who performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys.


Location: El Segundo, CA 90245

Position: TIG Welder

Pay Rate : $33.91 - $42.32/hr. on W2 (DOE)

Duration : 6 months or longer

Schedule : 5×8 (M-F)


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys.
• Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years' experience.
• Ability to tig weld tubes of different alloys (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, copper) Aluminum down to .032" thickness and titanium down to .028" thickness.
• Able to perform chamber welding, turn table manual, and orbital welding.
• The individual will have to pass tests plates to become certified to weld.
• Must be able to communicate issues immediately, work well with others, ask for help, but also be able to keep up with the high rate of production we perform.
• Weld Certification required.
