We seek a highly motivated and experienced AV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, configuring, and maintaining audio-visual systems. As an AV Technician at Smart Haven Lifestyle, you will be crucial in delivering top-notch service to our clients, ensuring their smart home systems operate flawlessly.

Job Description:

As a Level 2 Smart Home Technology Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced smart home systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be the go-to person for complex installations and issues that require more in-depth technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure a variety of smart home systems, including security systems, home automation systems, lighting controls, and HVAC controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues related to smart home devices and systems.
• Provide on-site customer support, ensuring that installations meet company standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Level 1 technicians and Project Managers and assist in their development by providing guidance and support on complex tasks.
• Conduct system testing and quality assurance checks to ensure proper functionality.
• Create and maintain detailed punch lists as the installation prgresses.
• Document all work performed, including installation notes, troubleshooting steps, and customer interactions.
• Stay updated on the latest smart home technology trends and products to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and in the company vehicle.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in smart home technology installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of smart home systems, including but not limited to home automation, security systems, audio/video systems, and network infrastructure. Certifications are a PLUS.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certification in related fields (e.g., CEDIA, CompTIA A+, or equivalent) is a plus.
