Job Description
Responsibilities HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates. This position stars of at a premium rate of $23 per hour in exchange for a 40 hour per week, every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) schedule.
As a Mental Health Advocate, you will:
- Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
- Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
- Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
- Assist with patient groups and activities
Shifts:
Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Evening Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Night Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am
Shift Differentials:
Evening Shift: +$1.25/Hour
Night Shift: +$2.00/Hour
Weekend Shift: +$1.50/Hour
- Note: The weekend shift differential is cumulative; Example - a weekend evening shift would equate to a +$2.75 cumulative differential)

Qualifications Requirements - High School diploma; Bachelor's Degree in human services field preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical Fitness - Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working with patient in acute psychiatric distress
