About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Media Sales to be its internal expert on all media-related matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the reporting of revenue and cost analysis to ensure the organization is well-informed about the media platform. This role involves close collaboration with the SVP of Partnerships, VP of Partnership Sales, and other corporate partnership personnel to plan and oversee 360-degree marketing campaigns across all media platforms. The VP of Media Sales will also be accountable for achieving sales targets, managing radio and TV personnel, and overseeing all sales activities related to radio and TV inventory. Applicants for the Vice President of Media Sales position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a degree in business or sports management, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in sports marketing and media. The role requires a data-driven approach to marketing, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster relationships across different functions. The VP will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, and to maximize revenue on direct-to-consumer streaming platforms. Responsibilities also include negotiating program ratings and advertising rates, coordinating with the corporate sales team on contractual obligations, and developing a holistic sports approach that encompasses the entire sports programming portfolio. The position demands the ability to multitask, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work with internal departments to address any media broadcast challenges.
