Join Rebecca Schools, a network of private therapeutic day schools serving children ages 3 to 21 with neurodevelopmental delays, including autism spectrum disorders. Founded in 2006, we use the DIRFloortime® model to foster communication, social interaction, and personal growth. Our skilled educators and therapists collaborate in thoughtfully designed sensory gyms, art studios, and bright classrooms, creating a nurturing environment where students thrive. 

What we offer:

  • Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 per year based on education and experience .
  • Consistent Pay: Same rate for all work, with no differentiation between billable and non-billable hours, and no reductions for patient cancellations 
  • Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday. No nights or weekends. 
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Generous PTO and paid holidays 
  • Flexible Schedule: Adaptable work schedule aligned with the school division calendar

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of the students Individualized Education (IEP). 
  • Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques. 
  • Observe/Record data related to behavioral concerns to assess/monitor the progress of the student. 
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients' behavioral and developmental needs. 
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and techniques. 
  • Assist students within the classroom/program setting during participation in special subjects such as physical education, vocational programs, and field trips. 

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age. 
  • A Bachelors Degree is required.
  • A genuine passion for working with children, along with patience and compassion. 

Preferred/Nice to have:

  • Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences.
