Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Responsible for ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and accounting policies
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and analysis related to balance sheet accounts as assigned
- Perform fluctuation analysis of expenditures on a monthly basis
- Analyze process breaks or gaps and determine best methodology for moving forward
- Actively assist in the development of expanded month end and quarterly checklists
- Assist in transactional level research as needed
- Become a subject matter expert with the various financial and analytical tools utilized by the Accounting and Finance team
- Additional tasks to be performed as requested
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to identify discrepancies, perform research, and work toward resolution
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
Desirable Qualifications: - Experience working with balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience with a larger GL system
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
