Job Description: Staff Accountant (Entry Level)

Reports To: Vice President/Senior Management

FLSA Status:Exempt

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant prepares and distributes analysis schedules on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis and assists with the monthly closing process by posting journal entries. This role also tracks inventory values, analyzes costs, and reports findings to management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect direct labor and product development labor data from the MRP system and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain data related to import supply chain costs for finished goods and materials.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to assess cost impacts of design changes, reporting effects on pricing and profitability.
• Update item costs in the MRP system.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close of the General Ledger.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts as directed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in MRP software and spreadsheet applications with complex formulas.
• Strong communication skills for interaction across various company levels and with external parties.
• Ability to prepare reports on various schedules and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Access, Outlook, and Word is required.

Education/Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Global Shop Solutions is advantageous.
• Experience working with engineering and manufacturing on cost standards is beneficial.
