Hamadeh Educational Services, Inc. (HES) is an educational service provider that services PK-12 public school academies in the Metro Detroit area and is seeking highly qualified and motivated Paraprofessional to work directly with our Special Education Department.
Our students come from diverse educational & ethnic backgrounds attending at:
Star International Academy (PreK-12): Dearborn Heights/Canton Township
Universal Academy (PreK-12) - Detroit
Universal Learning Academy (Pre-K-10)- Westland
Noor International Academy (Pre-K-6) - Sterling Heights

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with the Special Education team, provides 1:1 support to ASD students
Assists in providing differentiated instruction consistent with the IEP and the lesson plans
Supports in planning and executing activities & projects appropriate to the students' needs
Assists with creating and maintaining an orderly classroom environment
Keeps students' records and files of individualized instructional activities
Assists students with general classroom routines, related activities, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable learning environment

Requirements CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: - Must adhere to the qualifications, guidelines, policies, and procedures for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals set by the Michigan Department of Education

- Minimum one year of experience working with students in K-12 Special Education setting
- Willingness to work with students at all grade levels from K-12 in the Special Education Department
- Knowledge of the Arabic language is preferred
- Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working in culturally diverse setting
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Flexible open minded, self-driven team member
- Must be authorized to work in the US
