Description Job Purpose Ocugen is looking for a part time (15 hours per week) Social Media Intern to contribute to the online presence of a cutting-edge biotech company while gaining valuable experience in a fast paced and collaborative environment. This position reports directly to the Head of Corporate Communications.
Duties and Responsibilities - Develop engaging and informative content for various social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, - Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling visuals, infographics, and other multimedia content
- Monitor and manage the company's social media accounts, ensuring timely responses to comments, messages, and mentions, as appropriate.
- Maintain social media calendar to schedule posts and coordinate with relevant company events, announcements, disease state awareness day/months, and relevant industry news
- Identify opportunities to interact with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders within the biotech and scientific communities
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track key performance indicators and provide regular reports on social media engagement and growth
- Make data-driven recommendations for optimizing social media strategies and improving online presence
- Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns to promote events and other initiatives
- Additional tasks and projects as requested.
Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with major social media platforms and understanding of social media trends and best- practices
- Experience with social media analytics/measurement
- Must be available to respond and deliver within a 4 hour window
- Knowledge of graphic design tools and video editing software
- Must be 18 or older
