We are looking for a talented and driven Social Media and Content Marketing Manager to elevate our online presence and engage with our audience through innovative content marketing strategies, including our website, blog and podcast.
Position Summary:
The Social Media and Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that promote our company, website, blog, podcast, and website. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation, with a proven track record of increasing brand visibility and engagement in the life sciences sector. This role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement social media strategies across LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
- Content Creation and Marketing:
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality blog posts and podcast scripts that resonate with our target audience.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce relevant and valuable content that drives traffic and engagement.
- Digital Marketing and Advertising:
- Manage and optimize advertising campaigns on LinkedIn and Google Ads, ensuring effective targeting and budget management.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics and other analytical tools, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
- Website Management:
- Oversee the building and maintenance of the company website, ensuring it is user-friendly and up-to-date.
- Utilize working knowledge of WordPress to manage website content, including updates and SEO optimization.
- Graphic Design and Multimedia:
- Create visually appealing marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Canva.
- Utilize Descript and Buzzsprout for podcast production and distribution.
- Email Marketing:
- Develop and manage email marketing campaigns using Aweber, including creating newsletters and automated sequences.
- Performance Tracking and A/B Testing:
- Conduct A/B testing for social media and advertising campaigns to identify effective messaging and optimize conversion rates.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics and website analytics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, quality assurance, and client relations, to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing initiatives.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation, preferably in the life sciences or a related industry.
- Proven expertise in social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.
- Strong experience with WordPress, including website building and maintenance.
- Proven expertise in LinkedIn marketing, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva; familiarity with Descript and Buzzsprout is a plus.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and email marketing automation.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills: - Experience in A/B testing and performance optimization for social media and digital advertising.
- Familiarity with podcasting and audio/video editing is a bonus.
