Learn more at vecima.com.Position Summary:We are currently seeking two (2) Sales Engineers.The Sales Engineer provides primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of Vecima's distributed access architecture solutions including R-PHY, R-MACPHY and commercial video with primary focus on PON solutions and their implementation.Duties include (but are not limited to):Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations both on Vecima locations and on site with customers in both lab and field environmentsAssists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions in conjunction with input from customer relationships.May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.Provides consultative professional services and/or product capability assessment and validation to prospective customers on the replacement of existing solutions with Vecima productsMay build combinations of applicable hardware and software based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.Position requirements:Minimum 5+ year's working either for an equipment manufacturer or service provider in the Access technologiesDemonstrated experience in HFC and analog RF Domins; virtualization technologies; IP networking and routing/switching; PON and DOCSIS technologies (iCMTS, R-PHY, R-MACPHY)Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.Must be a highly accountable self-starter with good organizational and analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical solutions to assist in closing sales.Must have great interpersonal skills. Advanced understanding of DOCSIS and PON technologiesContinually maintain and improve technical skills required for the position.Work independently to develop solutions to meet customer's needs.Good relationship building skills with customers, partners and 3rd party vendors.Advanced analytical skills. Must be able to work through complex issues with a creative approach.Flexible on working hours, willing to travel (typically limited to North America and up to 50%), and able to work productively in a remote office locationAt Vecima, everyone contributes and makes an impact.
