Job Description
We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to be responsible for the management of one or multiple moderately complex projects concurrently; plans and performs analysis of company functions processes and activities. This position will be fulltime contract and hybrid .
What Youll Do
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements ensuring they are clearly understood and communicated
- Analysis and Documentation: Analyze business processes and workflows identifying areas for improvement. Create detailed documentation including business requirements functional specifications and process maps
- Solution Design: Work with IT and business teams to design and implement effective IT solutions that meet business needs. Ensure solutions are scalable secure and aligned with industry best practices
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders. Facilitate meetings presentations and workshops to ensure clear communication and alignment
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues that arise
- Continuous Improvement: Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions
What Youll Need
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 810 years of experience in IT business analysis or a related field with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies
- Experience with project management tools and techniques
- Knowledge of IT systems software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Practical application experience with Microsoft tools suite (i.e. Word Excel Outlook Teams SharePoint PowerPoint)
- Practical application and expert knowledge working with Microsoft Visio
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to pivot strategies in response to changes in the healthcare landscape
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing responsibilities and balancing workload
- Ability to inspire trust and communicate sound reasoning authentically
- Excellent communication abilities including listening and processing information effectively and strong written verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations confidently and calmly with respect and fairness considering different perspectives and maintaining relationships
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assess needs and provide information or assistance to match expectations or resolve a problem

Preferred:
- Experience working with a state transportation office
- Experience working with state government
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
