Description of Job Overview
The full-time policy analyst will provide detailed research and analysis of legislation for the Senate Minority caucus and staff. We are seeking a policy-oriented individual who works well under pressure and changing circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Read all legislation that is introduced
- Work collaboratively with the Senate Minority policy staff to conduct research and strategic analysis
- Assist the policy staff in preparing memos and reports as needed
- Preparation of legislative research for Senators during committee meetings
- Meet with Senators regularly to discuss committee schedule
- Prepare policy memos for all legislation introduced during the interim
Compensation
- $50K-$60K/year commensurate with experience, with enrollment in PERA, the state's pension program, and insurance benefits.
