ATCO STRUCTURES AND LOGISTICS (USA) INC. (“ASL-USA”) is seeking an Revit Designer for our Office in Spring.

The role of the Revit Designer is responsible for the production of engineered plan drawings, specifications, and material take-offs for constructing manufactured structures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare complete sets of drawings which include technical layout, multiple view, detail drawings and assembly drawings
• Prepare complete sets of drawings which include technical layout, multiple view, detail drawings and assembly drawings.
• Maintain proper documentation and database changes. Timely delivery of building-compliant and cost-effective Construction Drawings through acute collaboration with Manufacturing, Estimating/Design, Compliance and Standards, and Supply Chain.
• Utilize mathematical formulas to compute weights, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of material, etc.
• Coordinate arrangement designs with other disciplines (Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) to ensure construction drawing jurisdiction approval
• Develop quality Architectural drawings in addition to Mechanical piping and HVAC modelling plans with cost-estimated pricing
• Provide design solutions while being mindful of form, fit, function, manufacturability, and cost.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers and entire product development teams.
• Reference the product cost estimate during the drawing process and raise any significant anomalies with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of current building codes through internal and external technical resources.
• Assists in preparation of shop drawings and engineering deliverables in Revit and CAD.
• Operate within ISO Quality system and company safety policy in all phases of assignments.
• View products with internal stakeholders to confirm accuracy of drawings, material take-off selections / quantities, equipment installations, detailed specifications, and opportunities for improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, but also the ability to work well as a member of a team
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• a minimum of one (1) year of design drafting experience in an engineering or manufacturing organization is preferred
• Proficient use of 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred
• Solid works or Autodesk Revit software
• Thorough understanding of the creation of detailed drawings to fully convey form, fit, and function along with most efficient manufacturability
• At least one year of Residential, Commercial, or Modular Design experience preferred
• At least one year of Revit experience
• Proficient with CAD Systems; Autodesk products (Revit); SolidWorks
• Superior organizational, interpersonal, time-management, and planning skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in traditional and/or permanent modular design experience is a plus
