Overview:
The Regional Admissions Recruiter serves as a member of the Admissions team, focusing on recruiting prospective students and supporting them through acceptance. This position will be based in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area. The individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies for assigned geographic territories, which includes planning and conducting recruitment travel, generating inquiries and applications, and building relationships with influencers involved in the college search process. This is a regionally based position which requires the person to work remotely. Position may require some night driving.

- Bachelor's Degree Required
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in college admissions preferred, or related professional experience in marketing/sales, customer service, human services or education. Required
- Travel and recruitment experience is assigned regional area. Preferred
- Experience with remote work. Preferred

Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the Colleges off-campus recruitment program.
- Manage an extensive travel schedule for an assigned geographic territory. This travel includes in-state and out-of-state recruitment of students and may require travel to other territories outside of assigned territory as needed.
- Schedule and attend high school and career & technical education center visits and classroom presentations, college fairs, transfer fairs, and other recruitment-based events. Includes appropriate correspondence prior to and following the visit or event.
- Develop data-driven strategies for recruitment in assigned territory. Evaluate the effectiveness of the various approaches taken and make recommendations for adjustments where appropriate.
- Coordinate specialized programming for the assigned territory (e.g., regional information sessions, campus bus trips, etc.).
- Explore and recommend new initiatives to cultivate relationships with secondary school counselors, community-based organizations, community college personnel, and other individuals with influence in the college search process.
- Design and deliver presentations to groups of prospective students and their supporters off campus.
- Monitor, understand, and analyze data and reports to track progress towards meeting enrollment goals.
- Develop, manage, and recommend to the Director a budget for recruitment activities within assigned territory.
- Provide complete support and follow-up to prospective students and their supporters via multiple modes of communication.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to manage and drive inquiries and applicants through the admissions funnel.
- Collaborate with offices campus-wide to provide information that students need to convert from an inquiry to an applicant.
- Assess applications for inactivity and suggest cancellations as appropriate.
- Assist prospective transfer students in understanding the Colleges external transcript evaluation process and conduct unofficial transcript evaluations.
- Participate in virtual recruitment activities including but not limited to information sessions, online chats, webinars, and college fairs.
- Actively support the Colleges marketing initiatives.
- Participate in the Admissions Office social media activity.
- Effectively use the offices constituent relationship management system (CRM), Slate, including ensuring data integrity and timeliness of data entry.
- Provide telephone and chat coverage as needed during remote work hours.
- Participate in professional organizations that directly relate to the work of a regional admissions recruiter.
- Maintain working knowledge of general office procedures.
- Maintain working knowledge of Admissions policies and procedures, and recommend to the supervisor revisions as appropriate.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of majors across academic schools, including special admissions requirements.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Colleges matriculation process beyond Admissions, including financial aid, placement testing, new student advising, course scheduling, bill paying, orientation, residence life, move-in, etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of all guidelines related to confidentiality of student information and records (FERPA).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist with the development, implementation, and assessment of special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Any incumbent who has the capacity to communicate in a language other than English will help prospective and enrolled students/parents/supporters speaking such language with any aspect of the application and enrollment process.

Pay Transparency:
Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the yearly salary range is $55,000 - $63,000.
