Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Recruiter 1.
The Recruiter is responsible for presenting information about Nevada State to prospective high school students, parents/guardians, counselors, school staff, and community members via presentations and consultations (in-person & virtual) at high schools, university/career fairs, community fairs, and other relevant opportunities. The Recruiter will provide information to prospective students about admissions, degree programs, financial aid, and scholarships, as well as the benefits of earning a degree at Nevada State. The individual in this position will coordinate campus group tours, campus recruitment events, and meet with campus partners/departments for recruitment events. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Recruitment. The individual in this position will function in the following roles - Campus Tour Lead, Recruiter/Application Manager, and Ambassador.
Functions as Recruiter 1:
1. Recruiter - Recruit first time freshmen and give presentations regarding admissions requirements, scholarships, academic programs, and financial aid options. Presentations will be given to prospective students, dual credit students, parents, counselors, school staff, and community members at high schools, university/career fairs, community education programs.
2. Application Manager - Facilitate application workshops to assist prospective applicants with completing and submitting their application and official transcripts for admissions consideration as First Year Students. This position will complete follow up with each applicant, counselors, and program coordinators regarding their status in the application process.
3. Ambassador - Present information about Nevada State during presentations and consultations at high schools, university/career fairs, and community/campus events.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Conduct presentations to high school students, parents, and community members.
* Facilitate the Group Tours request calendar.
* Assist with planning and hosting events, including but not limited to, Open House, Scorpion Admitted Student Day, Counselor Breakfast, Campus Tours.
* Prepare comprehensive and engaging presentations.
* Coordinate group tour events.
* Collaborate with campus partners for recruitment events, to include academic units, campus resources, and community partners.
* Manage and maintain assigned schools including consistent communication with counselors, principals, teachers, and advisors.
* Manage communication with applicants via email, texts, and phone campaigns.
* Maintain accurate records of applicant reports, recruiting activities, and community contacts.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or university.
* Related experience and/or customer service experience.
* Access to a personal vehicle that can be used for recruitment travel and a valid driver's license.
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
* The willingness to work independently, nights, and some weekends (per scheduled events).
* Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:
* Higher education recruitment experience.
* Knowledge and/or experience working with high school student populations or higher education environments.
* Bilingual in both written and spoken language.
* Experience giving presentations to diverse audiences.
* Experience with a CRM and/or PeopleSoft.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Excel.
Salary & Benefits
Budgeted salary range for this position is $44,286. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
