• Minimum of 1 year in construction or installation of hollow metal/wood doors and hardware, or related products (Required)
• Forklift experience preferred; lumber yard experience a plus

• Valid Driver’s License (Required)

Job Description

Trinity Employment Specialist is seeking an Experienced Door Shop Fabricator for the Tulsa area. This position is responsible for fabricating interior and exterior doors and door frames and performing general warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading, and organizing materials at the branch.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Assist in unloading, distributing, and staging solid wood and hollow metal doors and hardware within the facility and on project sites
• Organize, inventory, and maintain hardware for department use
• Install doors and hardware, complete punch lists, and communicate progress with supervisors and project managers

Job Requirements:

• Must have MIG welding experience, ideally with steel doors and frames (hollow metal doors & frames)
• Tool proficiency required, including MIG welders, saws, grinders, and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Fabricate doors and frames with quality and safety in mind
• Check materials loaded for delivery to ensure accuracy and good condition
• Comfortable working in environments with moderate exposure to heat, dust, fumes, and noise
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required
• Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic
• Mechanically inclined with carpentry skills, proficient in hand and power tools
• Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with possible overtime
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb, crouch, crawl, and perform various movements throughout the day
• Industry experience is preferred; carpentry and welding skills are essential
• Able to read blueprints and schematic diagrams to install commercial doors and hardware accurately
• Accurate measurement skills (down to 1/8") using a tape measure
• Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures
• Respect for finish work by other trades and understanding of layout, drilling, anchoring, and installation of doors and hardware
• Able to safely operate power tools

* Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
* Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
* Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
* Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
* Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
* Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
* Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
* Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
* Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
* Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
* Align and clamp workpieces together, using rules, squares, or hand tools, or position items in fixtures, jigs, or vises.
* Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
* Position and secure workpieces, using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools.
* Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using soldering irons, gas torches, or electric-ultrasonic equipment.
