We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting HR Specialist to join our thriving construction company. This role is pivotal in supporting and developing our most valuable asset - our people. The successful candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employee relations. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role is required. Responsibilities:
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Enter new hires and assist with onboarding
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
Resolve employee issues related to health and welfare plans, refer difficult or very complex issues to supervisor if needed.
Develop and maintain a happy and productive workplace.
Qualifications:
Proven working experience as an HR assistant or other HR specialist.
People-oriented and results-driven.
Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
