Our busy hotel is looking for an exceptional director of sales and marketing to develop a revenue plan that maximizes profitability for daily sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. We need someone willing to be the brand's voice and manage the marketing budget to produce property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral that will generate revenue and meet property targets.   • Meet sales team goals and yearly sales targets, develop and implement short and long-term marketing strategies
  • Write comprehensive and precise sales reports showing the financial statements for sales promotion, direct sales, and outline of marketing plans
  • Build customer loyalty while generating new revenue by developing long-term relationships
  • Assess the company's success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders
  • Utilize marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other techniques to continuously seek new business
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of hotel sales and marketing-related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, marketing or communications
  • Possesses prior leadership experience in directly managing a department within a similar hotel scope. Display strong leadership competencies: Be Brand-hearted, Think Ahead, Champion Change, Lead People, Develop People, Drive Results, and Work Collaboratively
  • Possesses strong creative and analytical skills to create and assess the impact of sales and marketing programs. Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
  • Computer proficiency is required. Must possess experience with Microsoft Office systems, Delphi, Concerto, and access database tools
  • Highly developed written and verbal English communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, influence, and sell are critical
  • Proven track record of business milestones
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
  • High diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior sales and marketing experience of 5+ years, including some in a sales management role, is required
