Combustion Turbine Commissioning field\nservice engineer is responsible for providing field technical services for\nSiemens Energy combustion turbine-generators and associated auxiliary systems\nincluding commissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, combustion dynamics\n& emissions tuning, and periodic support of new unit installations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• \nMetrology field service engineer is responsible for providing\nmetrology and alignment field services for Siemens Energy turbine-generators.\nThese services will leverage CAD and GD&T experience utilizing portable CMM\nequipment and long- and short-range scanners.
• \nModal Analysis / Vibration field service engineer is responsible\nfor providing modal analysis, vibration analysis, and balancing field services\nfor Siemens Energy steam and combustion turbine-generators.
• \nSteam Turbine Commissioning field service engineer is responsible\nfor providing field technical services for Siemens Energy steam\nturbine-generators and their associated auxiliary systems including\ncommissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, valve stroking and timing, and\nperiodic support of new unit installations.
• \nResponsible for ensuring that working conditions are always safe.\nTravel with little to no advance notice to Siemens Energy customer sites\nthroughout the US and internationally. Up to 80% travel required. Strong\nleadership and organizational skills with the ability to lead a crew of\nmechanics and interface with multiple levels of customer organization.
• \nGood verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently\nspeak, write, and read in English.
• \nComplete and submit detailed reports covering all job activity.\nHave flexibility to work overtime based on workload and can work both\nindependently and within a team environment with the ability to lead the team.\nInnate desire for process improvement and sharing of lessons learned.
What You Bring
• \nCompleted Bachelor’s Degree (or high school diploma/GED with\nequivalent experience) in Engineering/Engineering Technology preferred and 5\nyears of experience to be considered for a level 7.
• \nCandidates with 8 or more years of experience may be considered\nfor a level 6 position
• \nPrevious field experience in the Power Generation or Oil and Gas\nIndustries with advanced knowledge in one or more of the following technical\nareas:
• \nCommissioning (turbine-generator auxiliary systems)
• \nCombustion Dynamics Tuning
• \nMetrology and Alignment
• \nModal Analysis
• \nVibration Analysis
• \nTurbine-Generator Startup and Operations (T3000 knowledge a plus)
• \nAnalytical, detail oriented, well organized. Proficiency in\nMicrosoft Office Suite software particularly Excel and Word are a must.
• \nExperience reading, interpreting, and following technical\ndrawings, schematics, and written work instructions/procedures is required.
• \nApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United\nStates without need for current or future employer-sponsored work\nauthorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be\neligible for internal transfers.
