Experience: - Five (5) years of relevant experience in professional leadership or technical program roles related to intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Minimum of three (2) years of leadership experience in a complex organization delivering human services.
- Experience with Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) formerly DIDD and major MCOs required.
- Experience with billing and claims.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, human services, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
Other Requirements: - Valid drivers license, good driving record, and liability car insurance.
- Completion of required state training mandated by DDA regulations.
- Ability to pass background checks per regulations and policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and general office equipment operation.
Responsibilities: - Establishes policies and procedures and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency
- Oversees the implementation of the organizations strategic and annual plans.
- Maintains open communication with the DDA, Independent Support Coordination, MCO agencies and other related provider agencies.
- Identifies and works to resolve problems as they arise.
- Maintains knowledge of the standards for the DDA quality enhancement survey and
- coordinates preparation for these surveys.
- Maintains working knowledge of the DDA Provider Agreement Requirements, Provider Manual, and operating procedures.
- Develops and monitors /oversees compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Assures compliance with maintaining professional licenses and training requirements.
- Participates in relevant training to improve skills and knowledge in the area of providing support and services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Maintains and updates confidential personnel files.
- Ensures confidentiality and maintenance of files of people supported by the organization including completing appropriate documentation as outlined in the medical record policy.
- Exhibits a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.
- Oversees the agency operating budget.
- Provides oversight of all aspects of financial procedures/expenditures/revenue accordance with agency and DIDD and agency policies
- Assumes other related responsibilities as required.
