Job Description

A full-time Executive Assistant position, reporting to the Nancy & Steve Crown Family Chief Curator, is available. The incumbent will provide day-to-day support to the principal, managing a full and dynamic schedule, preparing and processing materials for meetings, and completing a wide array of administrative tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the Chief Curator's office. The position is also partially supervised by the Curatorial Department Manager and will assist with departmental administration as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the Chief Curator's office, including: managing calendar appointments, processing expenses, booking travel, preparing Powerpoint presentations, corresponding with patrons, artists and other constituencies as needed, maintaining contact lists, greeting guests, phone coverage and other duties as assigned
  • May assist with Curatorial department administration, including management of work spaces, shared resources and department-wide meetings and events.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years professional experience supporting an executive.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and assess priorities is essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of museum procedures is helpful, or a willingness to learn.
  • Must be available to work on-site at the museum 5 days per week.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation rate of $56,000 per annum
