**Position Purpose**

JTI USA is presently seeking a District Sales Manager to become a member of our Sales team, to help support the overall strategy of the organization in the North Atlantic District.

**District Sales Manager - Sunbelt District. The candidate willl need to reside in Alabama or Georgia**

**Main Areas Of Responsibility**

* Ensure that assigned Sales Representatives attain objectives regarding product sale, distribution, exposure, and maintain appropriate inventory levels while respecting retail arrangements and promotional budget allocations

* Provide field leadership through training, development and performance evaluation of Sales Representatives in his/her territory to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness, and identify candidates for possible advancements.

* Maintain consistent contact with distributors to ensure product availability and secure orders, strengthen and build customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction.

* Execute retail and wholesale promotional support activities to build brand awareness of our products to prospective customers/consumers

**People Management**

* Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.

* Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon managers request.

**Education and Experience**

* Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon managers request.

* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct sales related managerial experience. Industry knowledge and FMCG organizational experience are preferred

* Experience in selling to retailers, Wholesalers and Distributors in the Consumer Products industry is preferred.

* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Prior experience with Sales Force Automation systems would be a plus.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong organizational and planning skills.

* Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic.
