Oppermann Webbing, a leader in the manufacturing textile industry, is seeking an experienced Department Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the Finishing department.
• Create and continue updating daily production schedule.
• Communicate with Planning and Customer service for customer needs.
• Attend all required daily meeting.
• Train and coach all supervisors in the department for further advancement.
• Keeping the department clean and organized.
• Keeping employees focused on safety, quality and communication.
• Keep inventory up to date on all materials that are required for packaging and processing in the department.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience.
• Forklift experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• This job is requires the use of computer using Microsoft Office and AS400.
• Reading spreadsheets, emails and work orders.

• All supervisor will have open availability to keep coverage available on all shifts.
• Must regularly lift up to 50lbs unassisted and move up to 500lbs with mechanical assistance. Must be able to adapt to temperature changes. Close, distance, color and peripheral vision required for inspection of the material.
