Job Description Summary Under limited supervision, serve as an educational liaison, enrollment coordinator, and advisor for students entering the baccalaureate degree in nursing program (BSN program). This person will also serve as the primary contact for students entering into the BSN program and as the primary recruiter who actively promotes the program to potential students. Work includes facilitating enrollment of the community partners' employees, providing information on scholarship opportunities to eligible candidates, assisting students in enrollment management, leading to admission/admissions test information and registration, internships, and graduation, developing and maintaining a data-base record of student interactions and interventions, and participating in the development of systems to track student data on entry into the RN to BSN program and beyond. Performs related work as directed.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field required.
Minimum Experience/Training: Six years responsible experience in the academic/administrative aspects of student affairs or academic counseling; with an emphasis on higher education.
Minimum Certification/Licenses: Registered Professional Nurse - Registered Nurse
Essential Function: - Daily - 10%: Serves as the intake coordinator and primary enrollment coordinator and advisor for all students in the RN to BSN program
- Other - 10%: Provides assistance in the completion of specific applications leading to upper division options, admission test information and registration; and general information regarding scholarships, grants, financial aid, and the completion of applications for admission, internship, and graduation. Registers each student into CID.
- Other - 10%: Serves as the primary recruiter and actively promotes the program to potential students both within the Broward College system and externally.
- Other - 10%: Makes presentations to various groups on campus and within the community (community partners) regarding the program. Plans and coordinates large group functions for students as it relates to the BS degree in nursing. Facilitates enrollment of the community partners' employees and assist hospital recruiters with scholarship opportunities to eligible candidates.
- Other - 10%: Develops and maintains a database record of all interactions and interventions with students.
- Other - 10%: Maintains specific knowledge about the RN to BSN program. Interprets and translates basic program requirements to students.
- Other - 10%: Maintains resource files of required nursing licenses, certification tests and exams as required by the state.
- Other - 10%: Serves as the primary liaison with the College student affairs officers
- Other - 10%: Participates in the development of systems to track student data during the program and beyond which may include input into the long range plans.
- Other - 5%: Periodically meets with students to assess progress in accordance with educational plan and coordinates tutoring and workshops based on students need.
- Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
