We make running apparel for female athletes of all ages, paces, and places and bring together a community of women who love to move, run, and fly. We believe in the transformative power of sport, and our product line is available on oiselle.com, at our Flagship Store, and through more than 150 retailers across the country, including REI and Title Nine.
WHO WE WANT We are in search of a marketing manager to lead and activate Oiselle’s community and sponsored athlete marketing programs. The ideal candidate is well-rooted in the running industry and has contagious positive energy as a leader and community-builder. As the face of Oiselle to some of our most important communities, positive energy and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are of utmost importance in this position. This role is responsible for building and fostering relationships with our sponsored athletes, our community athletes (Volée), and our greater community via organic social media. A successful candidate will be Oiselle’s biggest cheerleader, and will grow our brand awareness, brand equity, and revenue through these programs. This role sits on the marketing team and reports to the Marketing Director.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL - Own all planning, execution, and implementation of Volée (community running club/program), sponsored athletes, events (consumer), and other programs as assigned (ie. social media, influencers, creators, etc.)
- Be Oiselle’s point of contact for sponsored athletes (Haute Volée) and our community athletes (Volée) for 100% of activations and opportunities big and small
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to determine channel strategies and align on vision and impact requirements for programs
- Drive growth primarily via digital channels in Volée & sponsored athlete communities
- Focus outward: drive awareness, sales, and brand equity via the reach this extended community affords Oiselle
- Focus inward: develop content that is on-brand and drives results with the oversight of the Marketing Director and support of the creative team
- Develop processes that improve impact and efficiency for programs and cross-functional partners
- Be the face of Oiselle to our most important partners and the public: positivity, enthusiasm, and accountability is key
- Inspire and motivate Oiselle’s community to represent our brand, mission, and values
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE: - Demonstrates top notch communication skills; makes it easy for any/every audience to understand, buy-in, take action, and make impact
- Proven leadership experience, both in real life and in digital communities and is a player coach through and through
- Has a marketing mindset with a fundamental understanding of and ability to apply general marketing principles
- Is ingrained in the running community and industry, and has a deep knowledge of and appreciation for the professional sport and landscape
- Naturally solution-oriented with an inclination to simplify; makes thing easier, never harder, for internal and external partners
- Proactive with excellent attention to detail, prevents problems by identifying and solving before they arise
- Thrives in a start-up environment that is passionate, collaborative, and always changing
- Exceptional organizational skills, would thrive as a project manager
- Social media platform fluency (Instagram, Strava, Facebook, Spotify) and experience with general analytics
- 1-2 years of hands-on program or project management experience and general marketing experience
