Direct hire for our company, not an agency.

You will manage one company's marketing.

Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (negotiable)

Position Overview:
We are in the hand tool business geared toward professional mechanics and the DIY mechanic space. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts and drive growth through innovative strategies. The CMO will oversee all aspects of marketing, including paid advertising, SEO, email campaigns, content collaboration, and vendor management. This is a leadership role that requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution to achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:
Advertising & Campaign Management
Develop, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and other relevant channels.
Continuously monitor ad performance and implement strategies to maximize ROI.
Conduct A/B testing to refine campaign performance and ad effectiveness.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Lead SEO strategies to improve website rankings and organic traffic.
Conduct keyword research, analyze website performance, and implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices.
Work with the content team to align SEO strategies with content creation.
Email Marketing
Plan, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns and flows.
Monitor and improve email campaign performance metrics, such as open rates and conversions.
Ensure email campaigns align with broader marketing objectives and brand voice.
Content Collaboration
Work closely with the content team to request and refine ad content, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.
Provide feedback and direction on creative assets, including graphics, videos, and copy.
Vendor Management
Oversee and manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and contractors related to marketing efforts.
Ensure timely delivery and quality of work from all third-party partners.
Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to meet company objectives.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Lead marketing team members (if applicable) and provide mentorship, training, and support.
Prepare and present performance reports to executive leadership.
Other Duties
Stay updated on marketing tools, trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Perform other duties consistent with the role of a Chief Marketing Officer.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CMO, Marketing Director, or relevant leadership role.
Expertise in paid advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, etc.).
Strong understanding of SEO principles and tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
