POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for leading, shaping and executing the marketing strategy for the company in partnership with senior business leaders. This is a hands-on role that involves multi-channel campaigns in alignment with company strategy through social and other media formats, including brand building events and product campaigns. Critical success factors include leveraging data to inform actions, collaboration with business line leaders to deliver value added campaigns to drive the company strategy, exhibiting leadership behaviors aligned to the company’s guiding principles, effectively managing third party relationships and strategic partnerships, and providing thought leadership on growth initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic vision for the organization's marketing initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and industry trends to drive growth and maintain a competitive edge.
Define and develop the marketing plan for the business, including value proposition, positioning, segmentation, marketing mix, and aligning marketing execution across all geographies and market segments.
Elevate the organization’s brand visibility through brand perception metrics, targeted marketing campaigns and effective public relations strategies while ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity across all channels. Execute robust marketing strategy that drives adoption, generates revenue, and expands product utilization.
Direct all aspects of the Bank's marketing efforts, including advertising, product management, brand management, public and media relations, merchandising, and marketing research. Keep up to date with privacy laws, data protection regulations, and ethical marketing practices to ensure compliance and maintain consumer trust.
Study and recommend new markets or customer segments for successful entry. Develop tailored marketing strategies and adapt communication messages to meet diverse customer needs. Develop pre- and post-merger integration communications in connection with all M&A deals.
SKILLS AND TRAINING:
A proven track record of visionary leadership in developing and promoting thought leadership initiatives, challenging established norms, and driving positive change.
Experienced communications professional with a proven track record of building and executing successful, data-driven integrated communications and marketing strategies to drive growth and increased engagement.
Demonstrated experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and improve the consumer experience.
Demonstrated experience with M&A, amplifying the companies core values and guiding principles through compelling messages.
Ability to adapt to new technologies, understand emerging market trends, and lead with strategic vision.
Ability to effectively present information to the organization including top management and board of directors.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree and Masters or MBA or equivalent education and development preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of successful experience in communications and marketing, overseeing brand strategy and creative deliverables.
5+ years of experience in leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office setting with sit/stand workspace options.
Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs (printer paper, storage boxes).
Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes).
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.
HAZARDS:
The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.
